Passumpsic Financial Advisors Announces Hiring of Senior Trust Officer

St. Johnsbury, VT –- Passumpsic Financial Advisors (PFA), Trust & Investment division of
Passumpsic Savings Bank, is pleased to welcome Stephen R. Soper as a Vice President and
Senior Trust Officer. “We are excited to welcome Stephen to the Passumpsic Financial Advisors
team,” said Daniel Kimbell, Executive Vice President and Managing Director. “With over 30
years in the Trust and Investment services business, Stephen’s depth of experience complements
our commitment to our clients to help them on their journey and provide the best experience
possible.” Soper shared, “I am confident that I will be able to add value to the wealth
management group at Passumpsic Bank utilizing my strong customer skill set as well as my
extensive knowledge of trusts and investment management.”

In the role, Soper will work closely with clients and PFA’s financial consultants to enhance
relationships and provide increased sophistication. The position of Senior Trust Officer was
created to complement succession planning efforts and continued growth as Daniel Kimbell
plans to retire at the end of the year, after 24 years at the helm, and over 40 years of experience
in the financial services industry. Ryan Stewart, Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of
the division, will assume the role of Managing Director. Kimbell and Stewart have worked as a
team side by side for 24 years.

Soper brings over 30 years of financial industry experience working with high net worth
individuals including celebrities and athletes, non-profit organizations, and institutional clientele
in providing customized wealth management solutions. Soper joins PFA from Wright Investors’
Service, where he spent over sixteen years spanning three decades, and ultimately served as a
senior vice president and Midwest regional director. Prior to that, he spent two years at Lakeland
Bank/Raymond James Financial Services as vice president, wealth manager. Previous to that, he
served as senior vice president/senior wealth manager of Moody National Bank. His extensive
wealth management experience includes service with Rabobank, Fidelity Bank, Wells Fargo,
Bank of America, and Chase Bank, Global Asset Management.

In addition, Mr. Sopher is a university finance professor and business consultant, with
experiences across the country and in Bogota, Columbia. Mr. Soper is an active public speaker
and the published author of Fields of Joy: A Story about the Power of Giving.
